2021 APS Summer School

2021 Summer school courses will be offered free of charge this year through eCademy. Students who take summer courses with eCademy will work online at home, on their own schedule, with an eCademy teacher to support students virtually. In-Person labs and tutors will be available on campus at La Cueva to assist students with their summer courses. Summer school courses are available for credit recovery and grade improvement purposes only. Students are not permitted to take summer school courses for advancement.

Registration for summer school will begin April 1st. You will need to complete the below online registration form indicating the courses needed for credit recovery/grade improvement. Your counselor will review the courses requested and will send confirmation of registration to the email address you provide on your registration form.




La Cueva Summer School Registration Form 

If you are not a current La Cueva student, please do NOT complete the form, as we will not be able to register you. If you are an 8th grade APS student, your middle school counselor will register you. If you are a non-APS student, please contact eCademy directly at


Summer School Terms:

Term 1: June 7 – 25 

Term 2: June 28 – July 19


Selecting Summer School Courses:

Each course is ½ credit- students may take up to two courses per term

Students can take semester 1/semester 2 in EITHER TERM

Students that were enrolled at an APS High School in the 20-21 school year are eligible to take up to four ½ credit courses at no cost for credit recovery/grade improvement purposes.


Courses offered:

Core Classes
Core courses offered in regular and some Honors, but no AP Courses will be offered this summer.

Spanish (I, II, and III), Psychology, Sociology, Art Appreciation, ACE (I and II)

Online PE
Students will cover all standards and written material from a traditional PE course with no in-person requirement

Your student’s online teacher will contact them with detailed login instructions at the start of the term, but they will be logging in to Edgenuity with the following credentials:

If your student tries to log in before the first day of the term, they may see an “inactive account” error; it will be active by 8:00 AM on the first day of the term.
