Students who are new to La Cueva (and not from a feeder middle school) must attend a New Student Registration. This is where staff will verify your address and/or accepted transfer paperwork, have you complete the online registration process and meet with a Counselor to discuss course selection.

2019-2020 New Student Registration Dates
The registration dates below are for New STUDENTS to APS for the 2019-2020 school year. 

August 1, 2019 
(All new students to La Cueva can register on this date)

Prior to meeting with a counselor during registration you will need to CREATE or LOG IN to your ParentVUE account and complete the Online Registration. To access Online Registration go to APS Online Registration.


When completing the Online Registration for your student, La Cueva High School must be listed as the school of attendance. If La Cueva is not listed and the student's in-district school appears, the transfer process is not complete.  If you continue, your registration will need to be denied and you will have to complete the process all over again once La Cueva is listed. Please check the system at a later date.

Online Registration

At the beginning of every school year and when a student changes schools, a parent/guardian must complete the online registration process.  APS has made this a lot easier by automating the process through ParentVUE. This online process reduces paperwork and in turn should save time.

The online registration process will open on March 4th for the 2019-20 academic year. To start the process go to the APS Online Registration page.

During the online registration process, you will be asked to upload copies of the following:




  • Proof of Residency-Current PNM bill, Lease or Purchase Agreement, or Transfer Acceptance Letter
  • Transcripts with grades
  • Immunization Records
  • Birth Certificate
