2026-2027 Registration Helpful Tips and Tricks
Returning Students
- Log in to your ParentVue account and complete the Online Registration.
- NO ParentVue account? Go to ParentVue Account Access.
Incoming 9th Grade Students Coming from our Feeder Schools
- Log in to your ParentVue account and complete the Online Registration.
- Upload Proof of Residency-Required to accept your registration (driver's license, PNM bill, Gas Bill, mortgage statement, rental agreement; please note that we cannot accept water bills as proof of residency).
Non-Feeder Registration-Student Living in La Cueva District and Attending a Non-APS School
- Pick up New Student Packet
- Complete Online Registration
New Students to APS
- Go to Enrollment.
- Create a ParentVue account and complete Online Registration.
- All new students must upload proof of residency, birth certificate, and immunization records- required to accept your registration.
Transfer Students
- Go to the APS Transfer Website.
- Complete application.
- Transfers are handled by the district. Contact 505-855-9040 for assistance.
- Once you are notified of a transfer approval, log into ParentVue and go to the online registration to accept it (at the top right there is a button that says status, click on it and hit accept at your chosen school). You must accept the transfer within ten days of receiving the notification.
- The transfer will then be accepted by the school.
- Once it is accepted, you will need to complete the online registration as normal.
- If you are trying to register a student in any of the following situations, the APS McKinney-Vento Program and Foster Care are here to help.
- Living with family or friends
- Staying outside, in a a car, hotel, or shelter
- Experiencing inadequate housing accomodations
- Residing in a Foster Care Placement
- Residing with an adult who does not have guardianship
- Living on their own
- Without proof of address
ParentVue Assistance
- Go to ParentVue.
- Forgot Password? Use the Forgot Password option in your ParentVue account.
- For further assistance, refer to the Account Creation Guide in the link above.
Uploaded ALL Required Documents to Establish Residency
- A deed or mortgage payment receipt, dated within 30 days of enrollment.
- A current property tax bill, current lease, or housing agreement.
- A current PNM or Gas bill, dated within 30 days of enrollment.
- We cannot accept a water bill as proof of residency.
Additional Documents to upload to your Online Registration
- Immunization Record - All students enrolled in APS must have updated vaccination records.
- Legal documentation (if applicable)
- 504 or IEP (if applicable)
All New Students Coming From Non-APS Schools Must Complete
- Complete the Language Usage Survey.
- Complete the Request for Records Form.
- Email the completed forms to Pam Benavidez.
