Communication
Getting information out to parents is always a challenge. We strive to use multiple methods of communication so that you can find the information easily and in a timely manner. Here is a list of some of the ways we disseminate information.
- Calendar - The calendar on the homepage is the main school calendar and will be populated with special events and bell schedule changes.
- Important Information - This section of the homepage will include the monthly Principal's Message, weekly announcements, and other important announcements that may not warrant an email home. Check this section often.
School Messenger
School Messenger is the APS system the school uses to send out mass emails and phone calls. We try to limit the amount of messages we send out so we do not fill up your inbox. It is very important that we have a valid email address in our system for you. To check the email address we have on file, log in to your ParentVUE and click on the My Account tab at the top. This tab is not available on the app; you must go to the website to check your contact information. Once there, you can update your information and it will update it in our system.
This system is also used to send out automated phone calls about school delays/closings, important events, and attendance calls.
Announcements
We make announcements at the beginning or the second class of the day. We will be posting these announcements in the Important Information section of the La Cueva homepage so parents and students can access them at anytime.
We use Twitter to celebrate the accomplishments of our students. If you have a Twitter account, make sure you follow @PrincipalLCHS, @lacuevasenate and @LCHS_Bears (athletics). If you do not have a Twitter account, you can find Principal Lee's twitter feed on the La Cueva homepage.
